The King Charles Inn has implemented compact lighting, 1.6 gallon flush toilets, low flow showerheads, low flow dishmachine, installed wooden floors, live potted plants, a rain barrel to reuse water, encourage associates to ride bikes to work, reuse program for towels and linens, recycle paper, cardboard, use cloth hand towels in the public restrooms and tinted a few of our hallways and guest windows. We only wash when loads are full. We also offer a GREEN PACKAGE that includes a room for the night, a walking tour, a cloth bag upon a check in and a dinner for two at FIG (food is good) a restaurant who is in the sustainable seafood initiative and purchases locally and regionally only.
