Environmentally friendly measures that are reviewed include energy efficiency, water conservation, recycling, enviromentally safe cleaning, reduction of waste, ongoing maintenance, purchasing habits, plus many other factors. In it's efforts to create a more sustainable travel future and reduce their impact on our environment, Best Western Sovereign Hotel employs 49 eco-initiatives.

    We have instituted many successful programs at the. One of these is our hotel green team. We meet once a month and go over what we can do to continue to be a resposible citizen to our environment. So far we have implemented quite a few changes such as using both sides of every paper that goes through the office (i.e. fax machine, copy paper and printing). If we do not need to print something we do not. We have also cut our energy bill by 10% by making sure we are clsoing lights and air conditioners when we do not need them. We also offer our customers a chance to participate by letting them choose whether they want to reuse the linen and the towels. We have been using the 30 recycled paper products at the hotel.
