Environmentally friendly measures that are reviewed include energy efficiency, water conservation, recycling, enviromentally safe cleaning, reduction of waste, ongoing maintenance, purchasing habits, plus many other factors. In it's efforts to create a more sustainable travel future and reduce their impact on our environment, Hotel Current employs 39 eco-initiatives.

HOTEL CURRENT ENVIRONMENTAL CULTURE

Renovated projects feature recyclable materials

• Curtains are made of either hemp or fabrics made from 100% recycled plastic bottles

• Towels are made from Bamboo

• Energy Efficient appliances purchased (fridges, coffee makers, hair dryers, air-conditioner’s and alarm clock’s)

• Energy efficient program in place

• Breakfast paper goods (coffee cups, juice cups, cutlery and coffee cup holders are made from recyclable materials

• Domestic laundry equipment is energy efficient and uses Eco lab chemical program that is environmentally safe and responsible

• Flooring is Bamboo or carpet fabric made from recycled plastic

• Majority of landscaping and ground covering is drought resistant)

Aluminum and plastic recycled by employees and the funds go into Hotel Current Employee Appreciation budget.

We provide drinking water to staff using Pure Green water filtration systems instead of using 5 gallon plastic bottle services

Paper recycling program in effect, property wide.

Compost bin for lawn and gardening.

Ink cartridges recycled.

Eco lab program – environmentally friendly cleaning products and equipment for housekeeping
