Jeremy Triplett - 509-926-7432 Mailing Address: E 12415 Mission Avenue Spokane, US 99216 In 2007 we installed new landscaping that required a minimum amount of water. We chose plants that do not require a great deal of water and yet still are pleasing to the eye of our guests. In 2009 we removed all paper and plastic service ware in our breakfast area. We purchsed new china, glass, silver which dropped our waste bny 50%. And our guests love it. In our laundry and cleaning supplies we selected products that do not contain phosphorus so that we do not harm the natural aquifers here and protect the Spokane River. The Spokane Waste Management system is working on a broader recycling program and once that comes on line we have already signed up to participate. Currently they offer only cardboard recyling. We also installed all new lightbulbs that are energy efficient. These are now throughout the hotel. In 2008 we institued the green program to our guests for reuse of their towels and sheets. This has been very successful and our water and electric bills demonstrate savings in both areas of nearly 30%. |
