The Best Western Pembroke Inn & Conference Centre is totally heated and cooled by a centralized heat pump system that is capable of capturing excess heat from body heat (conferences and fitness club) and passive solar heat, to distribute to other parts of the hotel complex that require heat.

We also use this excess heat to preheat the domestic hot water production.

The Hotel is currently refitted with new dual flush toilets in all rooms and public washrooms. as well as with low flow shower heads.

The indoor pool and spa areas are dehumidified with a heat pump which returns the resulting condensate to the pool, thereby saving water, and also uses the same recaptured heat to reheat the pool air.
