Deadwood Gulch Gaming Resort has undergone many changes in the past year, striving to become a more green vacation spot. All deaprtments including the hotel, casino, convention center, restaurant, bar, and office staff have taken on various programs to achieve this goal. We are the first property to establish a full recycle program which has been in successful operation for a year now. We recycle old room key cards, plastic gaming cards, computer discs, and batteries to larger volume items like plastic bottles and containers, cardboard, tin, aluminum, newspaper, office paper and magazines, and ink cartridges. All of our laundry room chemicals and detergents have been switched to eco friendly as well as our cleaning equipment. Dispensers have been placed in all of our rooms to prevent bottle waste in landfills and all soap products are purchased from green friendly businesses. All guests are made aware of our towel and linen reuse program when staying at the hotel via information in our guest directories located in every room as well as in-room signage on display. Our entire staff has willingly embraced our new way of providing a more enviromently friendly vacation spot. Other businesses are noticing the success we are having and showing interest in following our example.
