Property Owner's Statement of Environmental Initiatives

Currently, Park Hyatt Toronto takes the lead in reducing environmental impact through operational practices within the hotel. A Green Team committee has been in place since 2001. This group is comprised of environmentally and socially responsible employees who meet periodically to review practices and recommend new initiatives. Their findings have laid the groundwork for many eco-conscious practices employed today, and facilitate practices for the future.

The senior management of the Park Hyatt Hotel is held accountable, both at a property and corporate level, for ensuring the on-going stewardship and improvement of sound environmental practices.

We work diligently to minimize our impact on the environment by conserving resources and reducing waste, by integrating innovative technology into the design and construction of our property, and by fostering a culture of environmental consciousness among our associates, our guests and our business partners.

We are a member of the International Tourism Partnership and Conservation International’s Business and Biodiversity Council.
