Amanda Soden - 503-790-7103 Mailing Address: 1001 Southwest Broadway Portland, OR US 97205 We are in the process of doing a "greenovation" on all of our guestroom bathrooms. All original sinks & toilets have been removed and recycled. We are installing recycled tile over original tile as well as installing new low flow shower heads and toilets. Lighting in all the guestrooms is now energy efficient and we are working on doing the same in our public areas. We offer a "Go Green" package at the hotel which provides the following: Overnight Accomodations for two, continental breakfast, a split of Van Duzer wine (Van Duzer is a local, eco-friendly winery), a donation to Friends of Trees (an organization that plants trees in Oregon & Washginton states), and free parking ONLY if the guest is trying a hybrid or electric vehicle. The keycards to our guestrooms are biodegradeable and we purchase enviromentally friendly products as often as possible provided they also are in keeping with our luxury standards. We are working on recycling bins being available in all guestrooms and public spaces. We are also hoping to recycle/compost all food waste from our onsite Restaurant. We participate in Pacific Power's Blue Sky program and 30% of our energy needs are from renewable energy sources. We have also made upgrades to our heating & cooling systems to conserve energy. We have also put in automatic faucets and soap dispensers in the women's public restrooms and are working on doing the same for the men's. |
