Environmentally friendly measures that are reviewed include energy efficiency, water conservation, recycling, enviromentally safe cleaning, reduction of waste, ongoing maintenance, purchasing habits, plus many other factors. In it's efforts to create a more sustainable travel future and reduce their impact on our environment, Sea Ranch Lodge employs 31 eco-initiatives. As the Lodge is renovated and expanded, plans are in place for a state-of-the-art property with top level eco-certification. Meanwhile, the existing Lodge is operated as green as possible. Our culinary initiatives include sourcing food and ingredients as locally as possible, supporting sustainable farming and fishing practices, reducing and / or eliminating containers whenever possible, eliminating plastic water bottles, and saving valuable compost for the community garden.
