Recycled office supplies including scissors, rulers, printer cartridges, etc ? The hotel utilizes environmentally responsible cleaners (MSDS Health Hazard Rating 1 or less) throughout. ? Choosing local suppliers first. ? Buying in bulk versus individual packaging. In our Everyday Business Practices: ? We are a 100% non-smoking hotel ? In-House Green Team ? We provide methods for recycling to all groups, guests, vendors and hotel employees. ? All lighting throughout the building is energy efficient. ? Our active recycling program includes aluminum, plastic, steel, glass, cardboard, mixed paper, hangers, toner cartridges, and batteries. ? Packaging has been reduced by; utilizing reusable versus disposable goods, purchasing food, beverages and supplies in bulk where possible, and requiring vendors to take back pallets and crates. ? The hotel offers a reuse option for linen, towels, and sheets to multiple night guests. ? The hotel uses water conserving fixtures including sensor controlled faucets and toilets in the public restrooms. ? Sleep modes on our computers ? Paperless communication internally and externally ? The Housekeeping and Engineering Departments utilize an active system to detect and repair leaking toilets, faucets, and showerheads. ?
