The Doubletree Hotel Chicag - Arlington Heights is part of Doubletree Hotels, a member of the Hilton Family of Hotels, which has committed directionally to the following reductions within operations by 2014:

-We will reduce our energy consumption by 20%. -We will reduce our CO2 emissions by 20%. -We will reduce our output of waste by 20%. -And we will also reduce our water consumption by 10%.

Our hotel is supporting the above commitments in the following ways:

Energy -Installed compact fluorescent lights (CFLs) -Utilize Energy Star to save on computers, printers and faxes within our offices -Installed occupancy senors in all guestrooms that are connected to the HVAC thermostats CO2 Emissions -Heating and cooling systems are returned to an unoccupied temperature setting when cleaning is complete. Typical guidelines would require the fan speed to be set in low position and room temperature to fall in the following range based on regional climate: winter 66°-70° and summer 72°-76°. Waste -Our property separates its recyclables in all guestrooms and in all public areas -Donated all old furniture during renovation to Restore Illinois, a resale store that donates the proceeds to Habitat for Humanity
