There are 34 properties currently listed in Banff. At this time there are 12 "Green" lodging properties listed of which 6 properties have completed the iStayGreen Audit. Banff Aspen Lodge has been awarded a 2 Green Eco-Leaf Rating.
To qualify for the Green Eco-Leaf Rating Banff Aspen Lodge completed an audit of their property's compliance with over 70 unique eco-initiatives. Environmentally friendly measures that are reviewed include energy efficiency, water conservation, recycling, enviromentally safe cleaning, reduction of waste, ongoing maintenance, purchasing habits, plus many other factors. In it's efforts to create a more sustainable travel future and reduce their impact on our environment, Banff Aspen Lodge employs 34 eco-initiatives.

All guestrooms are now equiped with Eco-Friendly amenity containers and soaps. The new eco bottles are biodegradable and the soaps are made using palm kernel oil, a 100% vegetable soap base. They are gentle on your skin and made using a renewable resource.
Starting July 1, 2009 the hotel will start providing reminders for our guests to help the Environment. The reminders will change quarterly and will remind: 1. When brushing teeth to turn off water 2.
