Environmentally friendly measures that are reviewed include energy efficiency, water conservation, recycling, enviromentally safe cleaning, reduction of waste, ongoing maintenance, purchasing habits, plus many other factors. In it's efforts to create a more sustainable travel future and reduce their impact on our environment, Hilton Americas- Houston employs 42 eco-initiatives.

We've recently submitted our application to Green Seal for our official Certification. On property we allow our guests to recycle within the comfort of their own guestroom. Our outstanding Culinary team gathers all food waste and it's transported by Waste Management out to Natures Way in The Woodlands for composting. We currently recycling plastic, mixed paper, cardboard, oil, flourescent bulbs, batteries, aluminum, toner cartridges and all furniture that is in the process of being replaced replaced. We have low flow shower heads, faucets and toilets in all guest rooms. CFL compliant in all guest rooms. Occupancy sensors control the A/C units in each room and we have light sensors in the majority of our low traffic areas.
