Sabrina Vargas - 506 2256 9510 Mailing Address: Calle 31-33 Avenida 1 2985 San Jose, CR 4988-1000 we have been in a Costarican program called CST Certificado de Sostenibilidad Turistica, Sustainable tourism Certificate since 2001, we where in the first group to be evaluated and we have been re evaluated for 3 times the Hotel 1492 leads a Recycling program in the Community of Barrio Escalante, recollecting more than 600 kilos of recycling material which goes responsible to raw and recycle providers, we have pictures to prove it recently I myself was chosen to be one of 30 new auditors to help others be sustainable, with my experience I will be hired by other hotels and tour operators to guide them through the process of the sustainble tourism also the hotel has open its doors to cultural and communal activities recently we started a group of drawing and painting at the hotel for the community, also we have every 2 months an exhibition of art - paintings or music |
