Working on sourcing suiyable bins for the guest rooms which have separate sections for recycling. Investigating a local Governement initiative which promotes a cycle to work scheme where bicycles can be purchased by staff members at a discounted price. We also operate a pick up service for staff at certain times when public transport is unavailable, which saves on private car use. We encourage car sharing. Bonus scheme for staff in operation which is linked to the reduction of energy use. 'Switch off' and 'turn it down' campaigns in operation at all times for staff areas. Our three acre grounds contain many indigenous plants and shrubs also some endangered wild flower varieties. We recycle, glass. paper, plastic, aluminium, vegetable oil. Our rooms are being refurbished at present and the furniture is being given to the local charity groups. Our location at the beach allows us to operate a nature diary with details of bird and seal sightings.
