This is the only property we currently have listed in Bells. The property has completed the iStayGreen Audit process. Rama Inn has been awarded a 2 Green Eco-Leaf Rating.

To qualify for the Green Eco-Leaf Rating Rama Inn completed an audit of their property's compliance with over 70 unique eco-initiatives. Environmentally friendly measures that are reviewed include energy efficiency, water conservation, recycling, enviromentally safe cleaning, reduction of waste, ongoing maintenance, purchasing habits, plus many other factors. In it's efforts to create a more sustainable travel future and reduce their impact on our environment, Rama Inn employs 30 eco-initiatives.

We have initiated eco-friendly program about two years ago when utilities bill started going up, especially in electricity. Since 2007, we have been replacing standard fluorescent bulbs with new eco friendly spiral bulbs in guestrooms as well as other areas such as lobby, hallways and walkways. We have also in the process of replacing our small appliances that we use in guest room such as Refrigerators, Microwaves, Hair Dryers, etc. with newer eco friendly models.

In addition, we have also modified our hot water lines to run one water heater at time. Before the modification, we had to run two water heater all the time which I thought was a waste of energy. We started using just one water heater instead of two water heater about two years ago to save energy without compromising any guest service or amenities.
