Being a small B&B, owned operated and run by just 2 persons a lot of the tick boxes on the survey did not relate to us. Staff training, eco-meetings, eco incentives etc. However in addition to those boxes ticked:- 1) We only use eco-friendly products in the gardens/orchards/fruit and veg patches. 2) We manage all water (in & out) within the property. i.e. we are not attached to mains. 3) We use a lot of produce from our own grounds, including but not exclusively the following when in season:- Oranges, Passionfruit, Tomatoes, Lemons, Limes, Raspberries, Blueberries, Strawberries, Fijoas, Bananas, Tangerines, Lettuce, Onions, Eggplant, Capsicums, Cabbage, Broccoli, Cauliflower. Sweetcorn, 4) We source from within 2KM of the Lodge:- TRULY free Range Eggs, Honey, Home made jams and chutneys, Kiwifruit, Tangelos, and our butcher who kills and butchers his own animals and he supplies all our meat needs. 5) We make our own bread and Croissants as needed to eliminate wastage 6) We make every effort to source from as locally as possible all needs for construction, maintenance, supply of products, food,
