Adriana Chaves Z. - (506) 24 61 0301 Mailing Address: San Ramon Alajuela, CR Villa Blanca Cloud Forest Hotel is member of C.S.T (Certification in Sustainable Tourism), a conservation program created by the Costa Rican Tourism Board (I.C.T.) for a qualified group of Costa Rican hotels. The hotels are incorporating several of C.S.T policies to our goals to diminish the environmental impact of operations and help protect the natural resources, including promoting the local culture of San Ramón. Objectives include recycling aluminum, glass, paper and plastic containers. Housekeeping and kitchen staff separate waste and recycle those by-products that can be properly recycled into either compost for gardens or animal feed. The hotels also reduce the amount of waste that they produce by switching from plastic shampoo containers and shower soap bars to shampoo and soap dispensers whenever possible. In the rooms you will find some printed cards that will help you to minimize our environmental impact. Please help us to reduce our energy consumption by turning off the lights, ceiling fans, and where applicable the air conditioning when you leave your room. Please make the choice of having your sheets changed every second day instead of everyday along with hotel towels by following the instruction cards in your hotel room. |
