To qualify for the Green Eco-Leaf Rating Los Abrigados Lodge completed an audit of their property's compliance with over 70 unique eco-initiatives. Environmentally friendly lodging attributes that are reviewed include energy efficiency, water conservation, recycling, enviromentally safe cleaning, reduction of waste, ongoing maintenance, purchasing habits, plus many other factors. In efforts to create a more sustainable travel future and reduce their impact on our environment Los Abrigados Lodge employs 17 eco-initiatives. A short scenic drive from Phoenix, located in Uptown Sedona tucked in among quaint shops, boutiques, and galleries; our lodge offers some of the best views of the Red Rocks anywhere in Sedona. We value highly our environment and have implemented in all our properties strategic plans to improve environmental sustainability. Recently we created a Green Team and appointed Marlee Portrey, our Executive Housekeeper as our Green Team Leader. She is responsible to make sure when you leave your towels on the rack her staff doesn't pull them and wash them. We're excited about her enthusiasm to make sure Los Abrigados Lodge is one of the "Greenest" properties in Sedona. We have many plans in the works to continually improve our environmental performance. We're constantly implementing new equipment and procedures to make our property more efficient. We are working to reduce our water and energy consumption while providing our guests with a better experience. We're evaluating our vendors and moving to those who value the environment as we and our guests do. We are constantly looking for ways to improve our environmental performance and encourage our guests to help us in this journey and offer their suggestions as well. |
