A place to relax, enjoy and experience being pampered. Even with an almost-full hotel, we never felt crowded, and were able to kick-back and rejuvenate, while being close enough to enjoy downtown Key West. I cannot wait until next year, when we will definately stay here again!
Pros:
The oceanside experience
Cons:
Choice of foods on the menus

Hotel horrible. guest = someone for hotel to sell additional services to. Restaurant unavailable, as was hot tub. Informed removed during renovation and did not reinstall it. The beach dirty, water murky and unswimable Hotel claimed - newly remodled, outside room being painted the fumes filled room, morning I found tractor, grounds keepers laying sod outside room and the lobby was filled with ladders and workers. Went to outside bar during operating hours it also closed for repairs. Staff rude when you could find them. . I left and went to another hotel.

The hotel is still a bit under construction, mostly landscaping so only one pool open. The service here is terrible. Like they are doing you a big favor

The hotel is under construction. The worst I have ever seen. Only one small section is open with a tiny pool. It should be closed completely. I thought the hostel for $* was much better. We booked a suit not realizing that the construction was going on - we wanted a hotel by the beach and with a big pool... It was a complete wast of $* per night. It would be better to stay ANYWHERE else but this hotel. It probably will be nice after the rennovation, but untill then it is a complete rip off. We were disappointed greatly.

If you plan to go to Key West, this is the ONLY hotel to stay at! Everything about it is absolutely amazing!!! And it has direct access to their own private beach, which is a hard thing to find on the island.
Pros:
private beach

drink prices

Hotel was under construction. Very noisy.View of construction site obscurred view of ocean. Hotel should be closed till renovations done. Moved to nearby motel which was much more peaceful. If you love heavy equipment noise and tools drilling through walls perfect place to be.

If you like peace and quiet, this is the last place you want to stay. Until the construction is finished in 1/08, I wouldn't recommend this hotel to my enemies. My "oceanview room" did in fact overlook the ocean, if you looked over the 3 construction dumpsters and 2 cranes blocking the view. We were awakened every morning at 7AM by workers using drills, cranes, cement mixers and hammers. The whole facility is a construction site. The taxi driver warned us it was a mess, and he was right.

Poor quality matresses and pillows old building. "Upgraded to new building. Still undergoing extremely noisy construction. New room pillows horrible, clunking a/c vent that bangs all night, plumbing gurgles all night. We were told air in plumbing pipes and there was nothing that could be done. Nothing was done about a/c vent either. Remote for TV unable to access movies. Overall completely disappointing. Shop around.

We've been to the CM several times, but this time they were under construction & we didn't know until we arrived. Construction noise was terrible & they scaled down the services (restaurant/poolside/amenities) tremendously. Don't hesitate to talk to mgmt - they will try to make it right. Let them! They are charging full price for less then full service & amenities. We left 1st thing in the morning.

From the moment we arrived the staff was acceptional. They even gave us an upgraded room at no cost. It was absolutely beautiful, from the dinning to the view from your balcony. The sports were great too, it was the first time we ever rented jet ski's and their staff made us feel very assured to try a new adventure.

The Room was wonderful

I stayed here last summer and woke up to find myself having what looked like 100 flea bites all over my stomach and legs. After pulling back the covers I learned what bed bugs were. I complained, even wrote to the corporate office, and they told me there was nothing they could do. So we left early from our vacation. HORRIBLE experience. DO NOt STAY HERE!

We have stayed here twice. the hotel is perfect. You are on the beach but close to duvall street. We have only eaten in town so we can not rate the food although the buffet looked great in the mornings. I will be back this year!
