Lovely hotel grounds with palms and flowers. Exterior of hotel was very appealing. Inside was less impressive with decor needing updating. The room was clean and service was friendly. Not a quiet hotel even though the place was not at max capacity. Lots of good places to eat nearby with the La Cumbre mall across the street and a family restaurant/diner on site. Good steak and seafood restaurant nearby (Chuck's Steakhouse) within easy walking distance. Nice hotel for the price compared to other hotels in the Santa Barbara area which tends to be pricey.

Never before have I been to a hotel where the staff would go this out of their way for you! We stayed during New Year's, and they found a place for us to dine, and also arranged a cab! Perfect!

Inn is in need of an update! Old, but clean. The walls are too thin, and the windows are still single paned, so you can hear anything and everything. Other guests in the inn were inconsiderate in the other rooms, being as loud, drunk, and offensive as possible at 3 AM. Customer service, however, is really fair; the manager sympathized and it worked out for my party. However, I won't be staying in Santa Barbara anytime, again. Fair hotel, but don't spend more than $100/nite.

Had a very poor experience here. Was in S.B. for one night, would never stay here again. The walls are paper thin and the windows single pain with shutter style glass windows that don't allow for any privacy. Complaints about loud neighbors, 130am and 300am, were the only thing that went unheard.

Breakfast at the restaurant was top-notch--service, quality of food, and taste. Idyllic setting --pool has a beachfront atmosphere, it's quiet and very clean. Rooms need to be sound-proofed though because every movement from adjoining rooms is audible. Be sure to close vented windows.
