I was at Ballys on July 18th 2007. When returning from a day trip, I couldn"t get into Ballys due to a car in the parking that seemed to have a bomb. 3 hours later I was allowed back into hotel. I had 2 14 yr old boys with me. It made the 11 pm news No further info provided. This ruined our trip. Your staff did nothing to help. As a matter of fact, most of them didn't know. my car was in a differant casino and on day of check, I informed front desk I did not know where my car was. I just got a blank stare. Very Scary Visit We all remember 9-11 Don't hid this stuff!!!!!!

We checked in at 5:45 PM and the room was not ready. They were still cleaning rooms at 8:00 PM! We booked a non-smoking room and the room reeked of cigarette smoke. There were two sets of elevators with a hallway between. The call buttons worked both banks of elevators and it was difficult to make it to an elevator before the door closed. The rooms need renovating and a better cleaning crew.

My room was in the Clarige Tower. Room has not been renovated in 30 years. Dirty bed spread, carpets, and pillows. If I could sleep standing up I would of. Non smoking room smelled of smoke. I guess they forgot to sanitize. Bally's should do Atlantic City a favor and turn the Clarige into a homeless shelter.

Bally's advertises a sleek ocean front tower, but a lot of their rooms aren't even in this building. You might find yourself in an 80 year old hotel across the street or worse. When you book a room at Bally's, be prepared to stay in any building they have an empty room in.

All the rooms where changed to non-smoking which would be wonderful however the room was previously a smoking room and you could still smell the smoke there were burn holes in the rug

Our Girlfriends Trip to Atlantic City was fantastic. The front dest staff was polite, our rooms were beautiful and very clean. Bell Service was great and so was Security...we trusted our lugage with them while we went to enjoy the casinos after we checked out. I felt the same service of the one I received in Ballys of Las Vegas. Everything was awesome. Would stay there again. Planning a trip again in May 2007 and will definately stay here.
Pros:
LOCATION & CLEANLINESS
Cons:
Everything needs cleaning, upgrading, renovation.

We enjoyed staying at the Bally. If necessary you would not have to leave the hotel for anything. There were enough dining places of different varity and different casino places that you were very relaxed and did not have to worry about getting lost or leaving the area. The western buffet was my favorite. My husband enjoyed hisself which is a lot for him to say. We would like to return on our next trip.

Check-in was a breeze. We received a room in the Garden Tower. This was nice and quiet because it's away from the busy casino areas. The rooms were nice but the plumbing hardware needs to be updated, rooms needed a detailed cleaning job. We had a room w/Roman tub, LOVE IT - too bad not jacuzzi. Was sad that there was a fee charged for the gym/pool. Use the free gym/pool in the Claridge, it's not as pretty & big as Bally's but good. This location was in the center of AC so everything was conveniently located. Beware you cannot find a good cup of coffee anywhere in AC. ENJOY!

I booked two rooms several months prior to my arrival and specifically asked for the Garden Tower - when I checked in I was given both rooms in the old attached Claridge Hotal - I had an elderly parent w/me and the room was not geared for a senior, the room was dirty, outdated and the tub had no handicapped bar despite my request - terrible experience and strongly wish to warn anyone else who thinks they are staying at the Bally's and are shoved in the substandard hotel next door for the same high hotal rate
