You would think being in Santa Barbara it would of been better kept and the staff was very disappointing, like they were there just to check you in and take your money

For a value priced hotel in the expensive Santa Barbara area this Ramada offered convenience to the airport, a nice continental buffet and sliding doors from the room to the curbside parking for ease of baggage handling. The room was clean and the staff friendly. You won't get the nice fluffy beds of the higher end Hyatts and Marriotts but for value, convenience and cleanliness this hotel is a gem. Although I didn't have a chance to check it out, the pool area seemed very nice.

I also had a "non-smoking" room. I'm highly allergic to smoke and when we arrived, it was as if someone had just been smoking in the room. Beds were uncomfortable, but the breakfast was pretty good. If you don't have a lot to spend, don't mind stinky environments, and want to be near UCSB, this might just be the place for you.

We stayed at this hotel 2 times & will never go back! The first stay at this hotel we requested a non-smoking room, the room they gave us had ashtrays. There were no other rooms available so they had to air it out with fans, which helped some.
The 2nd stay we were kept up until 2am because of a soccer team partying in the next room. We had to call the desk to complain twice and when checking out the next day were not compensated at all, so we'll never stay there again!
