May be pricy, but worth it. It is so convient. A five minute walk to the main entrance of Disneyland. You can leave the park mid-day, walk back to your room for a nap and walk back to the park when the kids wake up. It's wonderful.

Hotel is absolutely beautiful. Staff is perfect. Rooms immaculate. Downtown Disney View Room is the best. Food excellent. Expensive to stay, but worth every penny you spend for the location. Only draw back was not being able to check-in to our rooms until 5pm. Instead of compaining, our family party of 10 headed to the park, to have some fun and exercise. The Grand Californian Hotel is the only place we will stay when we visit Disneyland. Thank you for all the wonderful memories, of our family time together.

Everything

This is a good hotel at the price of a great one. The best thing about this place is the location, that is hard to beat.
Beware that a 'park view' means "Park or Pool" For us, the extra money for the view was a complete waste. We saw nothing interesting.
Also, the hotel doesn't provide cots. What they'll give you is a crummy one inch thich mat and a sleeping bag. Pretty gross.

This was a wonderful hotel! The lobby is gorgeous, the staff is friendly and courteous, and the location cannot be beat! We had a wonderful time, the kids loved the pool. We will never stay anywhere else again when we go to disney. Definately worth every penny!

Staying at this hotel was expensive but worth it. It's right next door to both theme parks and Downtown Disney. No need to rent a car because you can just walk everywhere. The dining was great but pricey. This is the ultimate Disney experience you should enjoy at least once.

From the courteous check in, to the character chocolates on our pillow, the hotel was wonderful. We loved the bunk beds with the trundle bed for the kids!

When we checked in, the staff was unable to provide us with a room until well after 4 pm (check-in is at 3!) and we were charged a "resort fee" of $11.50 per day for a newspaper and local and 1-800 calls.
Since there is no way to opt out of the service it should be part of the room rate. The only thing the desk staff had to say about my complaint was, "It was in the agreement you signed when you checked in - if you didn't like it you shouldn't have signed the agreement."

We have been using this hotel for the past 3 years. We love everything about it. Pay the extra money not to take a shuttle or to deal with Disney parking! It is also worth it to go back to your room and change clothes or even use your "own" bathroom. The little ones can easily go back to the room for a quick nap and not miss a thing! For some reason the staff was not up to par this time.

A genius designed this stunning Craftsman property. The hotel lobby is fabulous. (Even a pianist). Gorgeous bar and lounge. Think of your standard room as a quaint California bungalow (w/sm balcony). Characters should stay in the park - this is California architecture at it's best. Pool is lovely and secure. Sip a perfect cadillac and munch on carne asada nachos at Tortilla Joe's steps away in Downtown Disney. Parks close by. Definitly best of the 3 Disney properties. Splurge and enjoy enjoy enjoy!
